Ava interface is translated in 6 languages:

- _English_
- _Dutch_

- _Spanish_

Ava can understand and transcribe more than 23 spoken languages:

- Arabic
- Cantonese (Hong-Kong)
- Chinese
- Danish
- Dutch

- Norwegian
- Pashto
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Swahili

More languages can be available depending on your device: Basque, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian & Urdu (Algeria).

Ava can translate the following languages:

## How to choose which language Ava should caption?

❗ This feature is only available to users on a paid plan❗

Ava recognized language will be set based on your smartphone language, or by default English if this language isn't supported yet.

### Choose a language to caption on 📱 Mobile

1. Go to your 👤 Profile  
2. Tap on ⚙️ Settings  
3. Select Speech Language and update the language you wish to caption in.

### Choose a language to caption on 💻 Web

1. During a conversation, click on **⚙️ Settings**  
2. Select **🌐 Spoken Language** and update the language you wish to caption in.

### Choose a language to caption on 💻 Desktop

1. During a conversation, click on the three dots and then tap **⚙️ Settings**  
2. Select **🌐 Spoken Language** and update the language you wish to caption in.
