# How to Sign “Climb” in Sign Language

Climbing is not just a physical challenge, but also a mental one as you strategize your way up the wall. Fun fact: The world record for fastest ascent of Mount Everest is held by Nepalese climber, Nirmal Purja, who reached the summit in just 8 hours and 10 minutes!

## Signing “Climb”
1. Hand shape: Start with your hands in an “open-5” handshape, with your fingers bent.
2. Hand location: Bring your hands in front of your body at about chest level, palms facing outward.
3. Movement: Move your hands up and down as if climbing the walls.
4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.
