# How to Sign "Dog" in Sign Language

Dogs have a special place in our hearts. It's likely a signer you meet would love to share about their most loyal companion. This sign is super intuitive and easy to remember. You'll definitely be prepared for any interaction!

## Signing "Dog"

1. **Hand Shape**: Use your dominant hand in a "D" handshape, with your thumb and index finger extended and the other fingers curled into a fist.
2. **Sign Location**: Position your hand near your chest, slightly to the side.
3. **Movement**: Move your "D" handshape forward and backward slightly, mimicking the motion of snapping your fingers.
4. **Facial Expression**: Wear a warm and affectionate facial expression to convey your love for dogs.

## Note

If you look closely, the snapping of the fingers actually spells out D-O-G!
